This camera was described as a Japanese copy of a vageeswari when I bought it. I have been using it for three years with great success but I need to clear some of my excess equioment from the studio. I have another 10x12 on which I can shoot film as well as wet plate so this one will have to go. The important bit - the bellows are in very good condition, I have had no problems at all with them. All of the controls work well and smoothly. There is a slight bend in the front focussing rod but this is at the knurled knob end, so doesn't interfere with the focusing. Some of the chrome has a little rust on it, but it is about 100 years old so is to be expected. The ground glass is intact and marked up for several formats. It comes with two lens panels.
The plate holder has a corner broken off the slide on one side, as you can see I marked this a back and just used the other side. I have added a ply disk with two tripod screws onto the base, I used it on a Gitzo and used two screws to keep it stable, it would work well with only one. I still have the chrome tripod ring that was fitted and will include it with the camera. You are welcome to come and view it at my studio which is near both Manchester and Oldham.
